Training opportunities. There are several training sessions coming up to help with your studies and beyond….

Need help with your presentations? gives details of some dropins for you to hone your skills at presenting your group work/ posters/ other information. Feedback from experts also given.

Do you have an interview coming up soon? The SEC Placements team are running sessions with mock interviews. Mock interviews for all SEC students (9th March) . Follow the link for full details.

Research tutorials – Advanced Refworks. The next research student session is on 12th March and will cover using Refworks.

Don’t forget our refresher sessions for all SEC students on iCat, Referencing or Advanced searching for your projects during this week in the Student Academic Success Centre.

In addition to all the wonderful training mentioned above we have also highlighted some ways you can get the best out of our LRC services .  Print-outs not Time-outs tells you about the different ways you can print from your own devices and Offsite access: some useful links gives you lots of ideas of ways you can use all your University services at home – or anywhere else with an internet connection.

Up to date reading matter. SEC Journals – this week’s arrivals features new issues of print journals for a wide range of recent articles and news items on your subjects. Looking for a newspaper? reminds you that we take current newspapers and place them in the cafe areas at the Camm Centre (RV LRC) and at Penrhyn Road LRC. In addition you can use our access to the database UK Newsstand should you wish to look at older editions of national and also regional newspapers.
