Our laptop loans service has been wildly popular. Now that we have laptops available for loan at all four LRCs, more students than ever are enjoying the benefits of using one of these devices. To make the most of the machines, we recommend that you log in to the My Desktop Anywhere service. Look for the cloud/computer icon on the desktop when you first boot-up the laptop.
By logging in using your K-number and password, you’ll get access to a “virtual” desktop, which looks and acts in exactly the same manner as that which you use on the desktop PCs. Not only will you have access to all the files saved on your H-Drive, you can also request specialist software (such as IBM SPSS, Adobe Photoshop, and Notepad++) via the KU Service store, and print your documents just like you would if you were using a computer in the library.
